ok...guess this isn't exactly my pet peeve, but it fits the topic...I was sitting in class 2day, and it was silent, and the dude behind me breathes so frickin loud. When I tell him to chill with it he just looks at me like he has no idea what I'm talking about. By the end of the class I went off on the poor guy and he finally shut up...i think he might have just been scared and stopped breathing, but at leats it got him to shut up. Well...didnt mean for this to take up all this space, but it was really annoying.

Well...if you wanna look at it that way, gas is also not needed, we could all switch to those 12hp electric cars, then we'd have to get rid of all coal-burning power plants...no, we don't NEED any of them. If we did all that then the biggest problem would be smoking, but as for now it is a very minor problem...one i dont really see why people have a problem with (unless you have asthma or some lung disease, then its fully understandable).

Yes we do need those. If we didn't need those, why are we still using them?

How may deaths are caused every year because of alcahol related incidents. And yet prohibition will never work. It didnt work in the past. People will always do what they want to do regardless of statistics. Im a smoker and a drinker and i realize the health hazards involved in both of them. But the simple fact of the matter remains that i want to do them so i will.

look at greece, no drinking age, hardly any alcohol abusers
